VANCOUVER, BC (August 8, 2011) Dominion Lending Centres Clearlease Reports Prudhoe-based Quantum Controls has launched a programme August 8, 2011 that allows users to install energy-saving drives and motors with no upfront hardware costs, and to structure their payments so that they are always less than the energy savings.

The Lease and Save scheme applies to equipment such as variable speed drives, motors, soft-starts, switchgear and transformers. It offers fixed leasing prices for up to three years, which are covered by the energy savings. After the three-year period, new equipment can be installed.

Quantum gives the example of a 75kW fixed-speed fan running around the clock, six days a week. At present, this would consume around 8,760kWh a week at a cost of around £790. By installing a VSD, the consumption would drop by around 3,066kWh, saving £280. The cost of leasing the drive would be £140 per week (or £7,280 annually) – an amount equivalent to the savings generated. In addition, the installation would reduce CO2 emissions by 1,724kg.

VANCOUVER, BC (August 5, 2011) Dominion Lending Centres Clearlease Reports FLY Leasing Limited (NYSE: FLY) (“FLY”), a global lessor of modern, fuel-efficient commercial jet aircraft, announced August 4, 2011 its financial results for the second quarter of 2011.

Second Quarter 2011 Highlights

Entered into an agreement to purchase $1.4 billion portfolio of 49 aircraft
Adjusted net income of $5.5 million, EPS of $0.21, excluding share-based compensation
Net income of $4.1 million, EPS of $0.16
Available Cash Flow of $30.8 million, $1.19 per share
Unrestricted cash of $187.5 million at June 30th
Initiated a new $30 million share repurchase program
Declared 15th consecutive quarterly dividend on July 15th

“FLY has grown its unrestricted cash balance to $188 million at the end of the second quarter, which will allow the company to complete the acquisition of 49 aircraft, which was announced separately, out of its cash balance,” said Colm Barrington, CEO of FLY Leasing. “We are providing strong value for shareholders by utilizing a portion of our unrestricted cash balance and assuming existing debt previously on the aircraft to be acquired, to complete a transformational acquisition for the company, growing our portfolio by 80 percent to 109 aircraft. “In connection with the acquisition, we expensed $1.6 million ($0.06 per share) in respect of due diligence and structuring expenses,” said Barrington.

“FLY declared a dividend of $0.20 per share for the second quarter, which will be paid on August 19th to shareholders of record on July 29th,” said Barrington. “This is our 15th consecutive quarterly dividend. FLY remains strongly committed to its policy of returning capital to shareholders in the form of a quarterly cash dividend.”

“We remain optimistic about the continuing and increasing strength of the aircraft leasing industry, which is reinforced by recent significant orders for new aircraft from airlines in both Asia and North America. We will continue to opportunistically pursue attractive one-off and portfolio acquisitions,” concluded Barrington.

Second Quarter Financial Results

FLY’s net income and basic and diluted earnings per share for the second quarter of 2011 were $4.1 million and $0.16 per share compared to $13.2 million and $0.46 per share in the same period of 2010. The decrease in net income is primarily due to a reduction in end of lease revenue recognized during the second quarter of 2011 compared to the same period in the previous year and costs incurred in the second quarter of 2011 related to the portfolio acquisition that was separately announced and readying aircraft for delivery to their new lessees during the quarter.

Net income and diluted earnings per share for the six months ended June 30, 2011 were $6.9 million and $0.26 per share compared to $29.8 million and $1.01 per share in the same period in 2010. The 2010 results benefited from a gain of $12.5 million from the sale of an option to purchase our notes payable. The 2011 results were impacted by a reduction in the recognition of end of lease revenue and the expenses recorded in the second quarter of 2011 associated with the portfolio acquisition announced earlier and preparing aircraft for delivery to their new lessees. SG&A expense for 2010 includes $2.2 million of expenses associated with our separation from Babcock & Brown.

Available Cash Flow

Available Cash Flow (“ACF”), which FLY defines as net income plus depreciation, lease incentive amortization, amortization of debt issue costs, non-cash equity based compensation, the deferred tax provision and other one-time, non-cash items, was $30.8 million for the second quarter of 2011 compared to $42.5 million for the same period in the previous year. The decrease is primarily due to the decline in net income. ACF per share was $1.19 for the second quarter of 2011 compared to $1.47 in the same period of 2010.

For the six months ended June 30, 2011, ACF was $59.0 million or $2.26 per share. This compares to $87.5 million or $2.95 per share for the same period of 2010.

ACF should be used as a supplement to and not as a substitute for financial measures determined in accordance with Accounting Principles Generally Accepted in the United States.

Dividends and Share Repurchases

On July 15, 2011, FLY declared a dividend of $0.20 per share in respect of the second quarter of 2011. This dividend will be paid on August 19, 2011 to shareholders of record on July 29, 2011.

In May 2011, FLY initiated a $30 million, one year share repurchase program. Under this program, FLY may make share repurchases from time to time in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions. The timing of repurchases under the program will depend upon a variety of factors, including market conditions, and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time. No shares were purchased under this program during the 2nd quarter of 2011. At June 30, 2011, there are 25.6 million shares outstanding.

Financial Position

At June 30, 2011, FLY’s total assets were $2.0 billion, including flight equipment with a net book value of $1.6 billion. Restricted and unrestricted cash at June 30, 2011 totaled $344.1 million, of which $187.5 million was unrestricted. These amounts compare to total cash of $329.0 million and unrestricted cash of $164.1 million at December 31, 2010.

Aircraft Portfolio

At June 30, 2011 FLY’s aircraft were on lease to 34 lessees in 22 countries. All aircraft are on lease. The table below shows the aircraft in FLY’s portfolio on June 30, 2011 and December 31, 2010. The table does not include the four B767 aircraft owned by the joint venture in which FLY has a 57% interest or the 49 aircraft in the portfolio to be acquired.

VANCOUVER, BC (August 4, 2011) Dominion Lending Centres Clearlease Reports Fears of US slowdown, government debt crises send Toronto stock market tumbling August 4, 2011.

The S&P/TSX composite index plunged 432.61 points to 12,383.41 in afternoon trading Thursday, while the TSX Venture Exchange fell 101.18 points to 1,864.49.

The Canadian dollar also got caught up in the downdraft as tumbling prices for oil and metals helped push the currency down 1.7 U.S. cents to 102.19 U.S. cents.

Manufacturing, consumer spending and hiring by private companies are below levels that are consistent with a healthy economy.

VANCOUVER, BC (August 4, 2011) Dominion Lending Centres Clearlease Reports AGCO Corporation (AGCO) has reported August 3, 2011 that fiscal 2011 second quarter results, delivering an EPS of $1.36 versus 66 cents in the year-earlier quarter. The quarter noted some special items, excluding which adjusted EPS amounted to $1.35 versus 66 cents in the year-ago quarter.

Total revenue in the reported quarter increased 35.3% year over year to $2.4 billion. Included in the sales was a currency translation impact of 12.9%, excluding which sales increased 22.4% in the quarter.

The EAME region reported the highest improvement in sales of about 39.5% on a year-over-year basis. The North American region reported a 5% improvement in sales, while sales in South America were more or less flat.

Costs and Margins

Cost of goods sold increased to $1870.3 million in the reported quarter from $1421.9 million in the year-ago quarter. Gross profit soared to $488.3 million from $321.1 million in the prior-year quarter. Consequently, gross margins improved 230 basis points year over year to 20.7%.

Selling, general and administrative expenses also increased to $216.5 million, from $164.8 million in the year-ago quarter. Operating income soared to $201.6 million from $96.5 million in the year-earlier quarter, thereby expanding operating margins by 300 basis points year over year to 8.5%.

Financial Position

As of June 30, 2011, cash and cash equivalents declined slightly to $573.1 million from $719.9 as of December 31, 2011.

As of June 30, 2011, the debt-to-capitalization ratio was 13.3% compared with 9.4% as of March 31, 2011 and 14.3% as of December 31, 2010.

Cash from operations improved to $101.5 million at the end of the second quarter versus $13.5 million at the end of the year-ago period.

Outlook

The company expects farm equipment to continue driving results in fiscal 2011. In Europe, market recovery is likely to drive the results in a positive direction; while North American and South American markets are expected to generate favorable results.

Based on this, AGCO is expecting adjusted EPS of $4.00 for fiscal 2011; while net sales are expected in the range of $8.5 billion to $8.7 billion.

VANCOUVER, BC (July 23, 2011) Dominion Lending Centres Clearlease Reports British singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her flat in north London, media reports said on Saturday.

Amy Winehouse, the beehived soul-jazz diva whose self-destructive habits overshadowed a distinctive musical talent, was found dead Saturday in her London home, police said. She was 27.

Winehouse shot to fame with the album “Back to Black,” whose blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop was a global hit. It won five Grammys and made Winehouse — with her black beehive hairdo and old-fashioned sailor tattoos — one of music’s most recognizable stars.

Police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at the home in Camden Square northern London; the cause of death was not immediately known. London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before the two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene.

“I didn’t go out looking to be famous,” Winehouse told the Associated Press when “Back to Black” was released. “I’m just a musician.”

But in the end, the music was overshadowed by fame, and by Winehouse’s demons. Tabloids lapped up the erratic stage appearances, drunken fights, stints in hospital and rehab clinics. Performances became shambling, stumbling train wrecks, watched around the world on the Internet.

Born in 1983 to taxi driver Mitch Winehouse and his pharmacist wife Janis, Winehouse grew up in the north London suburbs, and was set on a showbiz career from an early age. When she was 10, she and a friend formed a rap group, Sweet ‘n’ Sour — Winehouse was Sour — that she later described as “the little white Jewish Salt ‘n’ Pepa.”

She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School, a factory for British music and acting moppets, later went to the Brit School, a performing arts academy in the “Fame” mould, and was originally signed to “Pop Idol” svengali Simon Fuller’s 19 Management.

But Winehouse was never a packaged teen star, and always resisted being pigeonholed.

Her jazz-influenced 2003 debut album, “Frank,” was critically praised and sold well in Britain. It earned Winehouse an Ivor Novello songwriting award, two Brit nominations and a spot on the shortlist for the Mercury Music Prize.

But Winehouse soon expressed dissatisfaction with the disc, saying she was “only 80 per cent behind” the album.

“Frank” was followed by a slump during which Winehouse broke up with her boyfriend, suffered a long period of writer’s block and, she later said, smoked a lot of marijuana.

“I had writer’s block for so long,” she said in 2007. “And as a writer, your self-worth is literally based on the last thing you wrote. .. I used to think, ‘What happened to me?’

“At one point it had been two years since the last record and (the record company) actually said to me, ‘Do you even want to make another record?’ I was like, ‘I swear it’s coming.’ I said to them, ‘Once I start writing I will write and write and write. But I just have to start it.’“

The album she eventually produced was a sensation.

Released in Britain in the fall of 2006, “Back to Black” brought Winehouse global fame. Working with producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi and soul-funk group the Dap-Kings, Winehouse fused soul, jazz, doo-wop and, above all, a love of the girl-groups of the early 1960s with lyrical tales of romantic obsession and emotional excess.

“Back to Black” was released in the United States in March 2007 and went on to win five Grammy awards, including song and record of the year for “Rehab.”

Music critic John Aizlewood attributed her trans-Atlantic success to a fantastic voice and a genuinely original sound.

“A lot of British bands fail in America because they give America something Americans do better — that’s why most British hip-hop has failed,” he said. “But they won’t have come across anything quite like Amy Winehouse.”

Winehouse’s rise was helped by her distinctive look — black beehive of hair, thickly lined cat eyes, girly tattoos — and her tart tongue.

She was famously blunt in her assessment of her peers, once describing Dido’s sound as “background music — the background to death” and saying of pop princess Kylie Minogue, “she’s not an artist … she’s a pony.”

The songs on “Black to Black” detailed breakups and breakdowns with a similar frankness. Lyrically, as in life, Winehouse wore her heart on her sleeve.

“I listen to a lot of ’60s music, but society is different now,” Winehouse said in 2007. “I’m a young woman and I’m going to write about what I know.”

Even then, Winehouse’s performances were sometimes shambolic, and she admitted she is “a terrible drunk.”

Increasingly, her personal life began to overshadow her career.

She acknowledged struggling with eating disorders and told a newspaper that she had been diagnosed as manic depressive but refused to take medication. Soon accounts of her erratic behaviour, cancelled concerts and drink- and drug-fueled nights began to multiply.

Photographs caught her unsteady on her feet or vacant-eyed, and she appeared unhealthily thin, with scabs on her face and marks on her arms.

There were embarrassing videos released to the world on the Internet. One showed an addled Winehouse and Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty playing with newborn mice. Another, for which Winehouse apologized, showed her singing a racist ditty to the tune of a children’s song.

Winehouse’s managers went to increasingly desperate lengths to keep the wayward star on the straight and narrow. Before a June 2011 concert in Belgrade — the first stop on a planned European comeback tour — her hotel was stripped of booze. It did no good,

An addled Winehouse swayed and slurred her way through barely recognizable songs, as her band played gamely and the audience jeered and booed.

Winehouse flew home. Her management cancelled the tour, saying Winehouse would take sine time off to recover.

Though she was often reported to be working on new material, fans got tired of waiting for the much-promised followup to “Back to Black.”

Occasional bits of recording saw the light of day. Her rendition of The Zutons’ “Valerie” was a highlight of producer Mark Ronson’s 2007 album “Version,” and she recorded the pop classic “It’s My Party” for the 2010 Quincy Jones album “Q: Soul Bossa Nostra.”

But other recording projects with Ronson, one of the architects of the success of “Back to Black,” came to nothing.

She also had run-ins with the law. In April 2008, Winehouse was cautioned by police for assault after she slapped a man during a raucous night out.

The same year she was investigated by police, although not charged, after a tabloid newspaper published a video that appeared to show her smoking crack cocaine.

In 2010, Winehouse pleaded guilty to assaulting a theatre manager who asked her to leave a family Christmas show because she’d had too much to drink. She was given a fine and a warning to stay out of trouble by a judge who praised her for trying to clean up her act.

In May 2007 in Miami, she married music industry hanger-on Blake Fielder-Civil, but the honeymoon was brief. That November, Fielder-Civil was arrested for an attack on a pub manager the year before. Fielder-Civil later pleaded guilty to assaulting barman James King and then offering him 200,000 pounds (US$400,000) to keep quiet about it.

Winehouse stood by “my Blake” throughout his trial, often blowing kisses at him from the court’s public gallery and wearing a heart-shaped pin labeled “Blake” in her hair at concerts. But British newspapers reported extramarital affairs while Fielder-Civil was behind bars.

They divorced in 2009.

Winehouse’s health often appeared fragile. In June 2008 and again in April 2010, she was taken to hospital and treated for injuries after fainting and falling at home.

Her father said she had developed the lung disease emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack, although her spokeswoman later said Winehouse only had “early signs of what could lead to emphysema.”

She left the hospital to perform at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in Hyde Park in June 2008, and at the Glastonbury festival the next day, where she received a rousing reception but scuffled with a member of the crowd. Then it was back to a London clinic for treatment, continuing the cycle of music, excess and recuperation that marked her career.
